Sandy, I am so sorry for your loss, as well I am sorry that I did not get your email as I was out of the country until May 25th. Gary was a true friend for over 33 years and I have many memories of our times together - Skiing with you and Gary, the many visits and of course our Skype chats.

Sandy,
As you know Gary and I shared a friendship and confidence for over 40 years beginning when we both worked for Liquid Carbonic.
Please know that we are sharing with you the loss of Gary who was a very dear friend. We find comforting the knowledge that his kindness, compassion, creativity, and spirit will live on through through the memories he has left behind.

business associate of ours and he was a great guy to bounce crazy
ideas around with....and some were not all that crazy after he had time
to get them out of his head.

some of them into reality.

Dear Sandy, It is with my deep condolences that I say to you I am so very sorry that you have lost your greatest love of all, Gary. I am one of Gary's 14 Pope Cousins that greatly enjoyed his teasing as a child. He was older than I, yet he took his time & great efforts to show me fun things to do - he the city boy, & I a small town farmer's daughter. He taught me how to pick sour oranges off our grandparent’s tree & then throw them at pavement level on old Highway 99 - 'car-dodge ball.' He also taught me how to catch goldfish by hand out of the family's fish pond. His patience with a 'girl' during his high school & college years was thoughtful & love filled. Gary was a great man & I will miss him as well as his notes via e-mail.

I just heard the news this afternoon. Gary and I worked together in the LNG industry since the late 1990's. He was a great friend and mentor. He will be missed.
