Rose Mary Amato

AMATO, Rose M.
9/5/1929 – 7/5/2014
Rose was born in Philadelphia, PA to Anna and John Locos. She began her career in the Public Works Dept. in Philadelphia and moved to Southern California with her late husband, Anthony Amato and daughters, Karen and Janet in 1977. Rose then began a more than 20 year career as a secretary with the Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station. She retired in 9/3/1993.
A longtime member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Rose was involved with numerous clubs and organizations; the Italian Catholic Federation and the NARFE just to name a few. She was active for many years at Los Caballeros, and enjoyed the company of many friends and acquaintances over her many years as a resident of Fountain Valley.
Rose is survived by a daughter, Karen Charlot (Doug), 3 grandchildren; Douglas, Kristin and Matthew Charlot, 4 great grandchildren; Issabella and Travis Charlot and Bentley and Kenadee Spellman. She is also survived by one sister, Nanette Carosella and 2 nieces; Linda Robson and Donna Blakemore.
Rose will be remembered for her warmth and kindness. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
