I grew up in Seal/Huntington Beach and remember John from school, just a nice person who seemed to like everyone. I lost touch after high school then was lucky enough to run into him mountain biking and he was still that same nice loving life guy. We made plans to meet for lunch but sadly ran out of time. I never met his wife or children but I know how much they must miss him, I just hope they feel lucky to have him as Dad/Hubby. John you are missed by everyone!

John and I were first cousins, and he was actually the brother I didn't have. We grew up together, had adventures in Pennsylvania, California and Hawaii. We shared many moments that will always make me smile. Especially the Hawaii stolen car. He played a major role in the upbringing of my son and supported me as a single mother. He was a mentor to my son Mathewt and much more, "Uncle Johnny". My blessings and prayers go out to his parents Aunt Mary and Uncle John and to my "sister/cousin" Sandy and her family. Words cannot express the feelings I have for Joan and the girls, may their strong spirits see them through, we were all guide them through this period of grief.

Love you now and always,
Cousin Sherry

I used to work with John at Alexander's Moving and Storage. He was one of the kindest, most moral, ethical, supportive people with whom I have ever worked. A great family man and colleague. John coached me through my first half marathon, constantly giving me training advice leading up to the event, and encouraging me at the event (he was doing the full marathon and lapped me). That was John. Always encouraging.

Joan, Natalie, Shayna, Aunt Lil, Ron and more - words can't express the horror and sorrow Linda and I felt when we heard the news about John. Our prayers and thoughts go out to all of you in this time of extreme shock and sorrow. Know that we are constantly thinking of you and hope that with the love of your extended family and friends you'll be able to get through these next few weeks and months. I'm so glad we came out to Ron and Aubrey's celebration last winter and had the chance to spend some time with you. John will be greatly missed, not just by us all, but by all those that he touched. Hewas and always will be such a great role model and individual. His memory will far surpass his time with us. Love, Gary and Linda Krasilovsky

Dear Joan, Natalie and Shayna,

We were so saddened to hear about John's accident - it's just unreal. Our sympathies and prayers are with you. We have wonderful memories of John at the barn, feeding horses and loving his time with Shayna. He loved to help out with all kinds of barn tasks and to talk about his mountain biking experiences.
John, you will be missed but will live on in the hearts and memories of your family and friends.
With much sympathy

I met John during one of our run practice meets. It was both our first practice with the team and both trying to learn our way around. He was so excited about his first big event and so happy to hear all about mine. I'm grateful to have met him and for that comforting little afternoon run chatting alongside him, talking about the journey we were both about to embark. I pray that his family find comfort and peace during this very difficult time.

John was truly one of the nicest and sincerest men I've EVER known. We talked about running, racing, work, books, family. He lit up every time he talked about his daughters and amazing travels with his wife. I was just talking with him about Ironman and the summer just two weeks ago. It's still too surreal for me. I plan to make the services to pay my respects to an amazing man who left way too soon. I have this cool picture John drew about the company I work for... I'll try and upload tomorrow or soon. He mentioned taking art classes in the near future. We lost a true gem!

Learning of John's death took my breath away. It was a privilege and a honor to know and work with John during his days at Alexander's and mine with Sybron. John was always willing to accommodate and meet our needs. Always cheerful and always interested in you as a person.

Thank you John for inviting me to share in your life. You will be sorely missed but always remembered with a smile.

My deepest sympathy & prayer for strength to John's wife & family.

It was my good fortune to have worked with John for the last couple of years on Trade Show logistics, and I wanted his family to know that even though I only interacted with him face to face a few times per year, he always left me with the lasting impression I was the most important person in the room at that moment. I learned so much from him in a short time. He was a consummate professional, and I am a better person for knowing him. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends. I am heartbroken and I will miss him.

I have known John since the early 80's and he has been my transportation vendor and friend since 1992, no matter what company he worked for.

We would always talk about sales strategies and how to never loose integrity when dealing with customers and John held that standard in the highest form in everything he did.

John, I will truly miss not being able to work with you and you will always be in my thoughts.

John was a well respected and integral part of the exhibit industry for decades. On a personal note John was patient, giving and generous as we worked through the economic downturn of 2008. We will always remember his kindness, generosity, professionalism and work ethic. We will miss his smiling face and visits.

I know John from my Triathlon Team. I first met him at a workout in a Wednesday evening at Backbay, Newport Beach. I could tell he was a good runner . He was checking us out because he wanted to train for his first Ironman. Since that day, my husband and I would see him on our Saturday Group ride and also some open water swims at Corona Del Mar. He was the nicest man and a very good athlete. He always seemed to be having fun, like a kid in a Candy store. I began to look forward to seeing him on the rides. As he would ride with my husband when I wasn't.
I went to the First Covathon at Crystal Cive a few weeks back. I got there in time to see him finish, along with other team members. He was so happy to be there. He mentioned he really felt like he was in his element and was so happy this event was in his 'backyard.' My husband, Roy and I spent time with him and his wife a little over a week ago. He was talking about the Rock and Roll Marathon and his wife was very sweet and fun loving like him. I told my husband that this couple would be great to hang out with. Now that is not to be and I am crushed about what happened. Heartbroken and sad.
He will be missed.

Dear Joan, Natalie, Shayna, Ron, Lil and John's parents:

Jayna, Nikki and I were devastated to hear of John's passing. We all immediately commented upon his wonderful, overflowing heart and its impact upon all of us, especially you folks. Though his loss saddens us greatly, we can't begin to appreciate how this affects you, those who have related to him daily. We are grateful to for the times shared together as family.

Jayna and I scrambled to try to attend the funeral, but found it too difficult to orchestrate in one day. We hope to visit in the next few weeks, should that be convenient for you.

Much love to all,
Harvey Kraslin
