Margie Lee Reinke of Anaheim Hills, CA passed away Friday, June 1, 2018 from ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease with her husband and family by her side).
She was 81, born in Custer County, Oklahoma to William and Esther Matthes on July 27, 1936. She was one of four children. Margie was preceded in death by her parents, William and Esther Matthes, sister, Betty McDonald, first husband, Richard Klopfenstein, sons, Jerry and Jack Klopfenstein, daughter, Dixie Klopfenstein, and son-n-law, Kenny Blonden. Margie is survived by her husband, Kenneth Reinke, daughter Tammy Blonden, daughter and son-n-law, Peter and Nancy Blouke, brother and sister-n-law, Fred and Janet Matthes, sister, Gayla Matthes, nieces, Ginger Reichel and Lori Kranz, granddaughter, Jocelyn Blouke, and many dear family and friends.
There were many joyful moments over the years with her family and friends. Her favorite past time was spending time with her granddaughter, Jocelyn. Throughout the years, she enjoyed working in the garden with her flowers, staying active in many clubs, including one of her favorites… Lady Putters in Sun City, Palm Desert.
She had many titles… Wife, Grandma, Aunt, Cousin, Mom, Sister and Friend. But the one we will always remember is “Tele-A-Margie”. The saying goes… You have Telegraph, Telephone and then you have Tele-A-Margie. If you wanted the family and everyone to know what was going on… Just call and tell Margie. She LOVED to talk and tell stories with everyone.
May her spirit, love of life and great memories live on with each one of us!
Celebration of Life will be scheduled later.
In lieu of flowers and plants, please donate to ALS.
