Lori J. Guimond

Loretta “Lori” Joan Guimond, daughter of John and Beatrice Humphries was born on March 23, 1934 in Portal, North Dakota.  The Humphries family was a large one with four boys, LeRoy, Harold, Gerald and Laverne and four girls, Lillian, Nellie, Loretta and Myrtle

Lori went to Beauty College and worked as a hairdresser for over 40 years owning her own salons, the first named Bubbles of Beauty.  This enabled her to provide for her family which was extremely important to her.

After retiring Lori expressed her artistic side by quilting, doing machine embroidery and oil painting, all of which she greatly enjoyed.  She even won a first place ribbon at the LA County Fair for one of her quilts!

Lori had a passion for studying her Catholic faith and was active in her church. She had a deep and lasting faith that helped her through her final days.  She is survived by two of her brothers, the twins Harold and Gerald, her five children Wanda, Twila, Troy, Todd and Lea, twelve grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.

Lori passed on February 19th, 2019 and is now at peace in the arms of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

A Celebration of Life Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday March 13, 2019 at 10:00 am at St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, 8345 Talbert Ave, Huntington Beach, CA 92646.  A Rosary will be said preceding the Mass at 9:30 am.
