Alan Pearson

February 18, 1938 ~ September 10, 2018 (age 80) 80 Years Old

Tribute

Our beloved Alan Pearson passed away quite unexpectedly September 10th, 2018. He was born February 18th, 1938 in Leeds, England just before WWII to George & Emily (Bramwell) Pearson. He was the youngest of six siblings including one sister and four brothers who all preceded him in death.

In the 1960s, he immigrated to the United States sponsored by his brother George. Shortly thereafter he sent for his wife June and daughter Susan.

In addition to his military service on the island of Cyprus as a young man, Alan worked as a supervisory machinist in the aerospace industry for Hi-Shear Technology Corporation in southern California. His expertise supported his love of wood working - making beautiful miniature furniture, unique boxes,  and other special items for family and friends over the years.

In the early 1980s, he met and married Beverly and they began a loving relationship that would see them exploring much of the Wild West in their RV, raising several avian friends (Angel, Mia, and Babe), visiting England, and generally enjoying their marriage of 32 years.

Alan is survived by his wife Beverly; daughter Susan (John) Bell; step-children Karen, Brian, and Greg (Carlos) McKinley, and Michelle Ansdell ; eight grandchildren Alishia (Steve) Krier, Kevin McKinley, Brielle and Amber Ansdell, Kelsey, Ashley, and Cameron Bell;  three great grandchildren - Katie, Abby, and Cade; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who will greatly miss him.

Alan was cremated September 18th and is currently resting at his home in Huntington Beach, California.

No formal services will be held but a private celebration of life is planned for after the New Year. The family wishes to thank all of his friends, family, and acquaintances both here and abroad for their heartfelt messages and prayers … they are much appreciated and comforting.

Please feel free to post your own special remembrances and photographs.
